Shipping policy

Anima Domus is able to provide white-glove delivery services to the following counties in Florida: Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Monroe, and Collier.

Anima Domus is not able to provide delivery outside of this service area. However, Anima Domus is able to provide free pick-up from its warehouse in Hialeah Gardens, FL and provide the contact information for third-party delivery companies.

Some items may be opened and without packaging. Anima Domus does not offer packaging materials or a packaging service. When picking up opened items, please make sure to bring wrapping materials. 

Anima Domus does not provide installation for lighting or electrical components.

Anima Domus considers all deliveries to be “standard” and executable by two working individuals. Customer accepts responsibility for providing all equipment, labor and transportation should delivery area or its access be deemed “non-accessible” by Anima Domus delivery personnel. This is also valid in the case that items may not fit inside existing elevators. In this case, it is client’s sole responsibility to hire a specialized company to move the box(es) upstairs. All spaces must be clean and available for furniture to be installed and/or delivered. Anima Domus delivery team will not move or dispose of any items other than packaging material left over from our items. If the customer is not present at the time of pre-scheduled delivery, or if space is not ready to receive the furniture, a re-scheduling fee will apply. The value of this additional fee depends on the address of delivery, the volume of merchandise and season of the year, among other factors. The amount of the revisit fee will be defined by Anima Domus at its sole discretion.

Installation Terms & Conditions

  • Client is fully responsible for ensuring that the products being purchased will fit in the space in which they will be delivered. Anima Domus will not accept refunds or exchanges of items purchased due to the item not fitting. 

  • In the case that the unit(s) needs to be anchored to a wall, it is the Client’s respon- sibility to ensure that the wall is properly constructed following local building codes and regulations. If the wall is an interior, non-bearing wall, it must be constructed with standard wooden or metal studs, in accordance with local codes and regulations. 

  • Any sprinklers, A/C vents, smoke detectors, or any other existing device(s) located in the area where the unit(s) will be installed must be relocated, by the Client, prior to the installation.

  • If required by the drawing, the wall must be reinforced with blocking between studs and behind finished drywall prior to installation. This is Client’s sole responsibility.

  • If required by the drawing, the area of the wall where the unit(s) will be installed should not have a baseboard. Client is fully responsible for removing the baseboard, as per schematics, prior to installation.

  • For safety reasons, tall modular systems & wall beds must be anchored to the wall.

  • If the wall is covered in any material other than drywall (such as glass, mirror, marble, tile, etc), Anima Domus does not provide installation services on these surfaces. For other surface types (such as wallpaper, wood paneling, etc), Anima Domus cannot be held responsible/liable for damages that may occur to the wall surface during in- stallation. Anima Domus reserves the sole right to deny installation services based on surface types.

  • Anima Domus does not provide electrical services. All electrical modifications & in- stallations are the sole responsibility of the Client.

  • All electrical modifications must be performed by the Client prior to the installation, in accordance with local codes & regulations. Outlet/Switch locations should follow relevant schematics. Any cables (TV signals, power, speakers, etc) must be passed and placed in their relevant positions by the Client, prior to the installation.

  • All dimensions for outlets are referenced from a finished floor/wall to the center of the outlet plate.

  • Unless otherwise noted, any outlet(s) located in the area where the unit(s) will be in- stalled will not be accessible and should be canceled and/or relocated by the Client, prior to the installation.

  • Anima Domus does not handle the installation of televisions, television brackets, speakers, or any other electrical components. These are the sole responsibility of the Client.

Claims when shipping goods through a third party company: Customer acknowledges and agrees to the fact that any responsibility/liability of Anima Domus will cease at the time that cargo is delivered, picked-up or dropped-off to/by third-party company. Anima Domus is not responsible for any missing items, nor damages resulting by the mishandling of boxes, pallets or loose cargo by the third-party company. Any eventual claims related to damaged, delayed or missing cargo shall be filed by the client directly with the third party company.

Warehousing: Anima Domus will provide client free warehousing space for a period of 30 (thirty) days. For outlet items, this period of time starts counting from the date of sale. If Customer does not take possession of the goods within this period of time, an increasing monthly warehousing fee will be added to the client’s account. Anima Domus will calculate the warehousing fee taking into consideration the number of boxes, volume (CBM), weight, length of time cargo will be kept at our warehouse, overall loading capacity of the warehouse and the season of the year. The amount of the warehousing fee will be defined by Anima Domus at its sole discretion. Client must pay any eventual warehousing fee prior to the delivery of the goods.

General Conditions: In the event it becomes necessary to initiate a legal action to collect monies owed, the customer agrees to pay all costs of collection, including reasonable attorney fees and court costs. Past due invoices will be charged 18% interest rate per annum. Anima Domus retains the title of all merchandise until full payment is made and funds have cleared. The terms of this agreement shall prevail over any conflicting terms or conditions in any referenced agreement, sales order or document. This Agreement shall be governed in all respects by the laws of The United States of America and by the laws of the State of Florida. Anima Domus performs its business in Florida. As such, the parties hereby submit to exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the City of Miami and the County of Miami-Dade with respect to any claim or cause of action that may arise hereunder.
